Cuba, Lot of 7 Specimen banknotes from the “Pesos Convertibles” Issue. These notes make up the denomination set for the Series 1994 Pesos Convertibles Issue. Includes 1; 3; 5; 10; 20 ;50 and 100 Pesos Convertibles, Pick#’s: FX37; FX38; FX39; FX40; FX41; FX42; FX43 Specimens.. All with different monuments on the right in various colors, backs are all similar except for the denomination, all with large diagonal Specimen overprints, POC’s and “000000” Serial numbers. Each note has “SPECIMEN No.001 on the lower left corner of the face, every note has oval “Specimen De La Rue Co. Ltd - No Value” overprints in red on the lower right and upper left of each face and back. Each note also has archival notations including dates and possibly order numbers on the top margins. all were previously mounted on the back right border with light mounting remnants remaining that do not detract from the appearance or stain the face. Without the mounting remnants, each note would be Choice to Gem Uncirculated. Previously only known as specimens or issued notes without the De La Rue oval Specimen overprints.
