Tientsin, China. A very interesting note that appears to be a 5 Dollars, 1920, P-S166, which has been extensively modified, or “raised”, to resemble a 100 Dollars from the same issue, clearly with the intent to deceive an unsuspecting person. Many hand- executed modifications involving pasting up pieces (denomination numerals), both on obverse and reverse. Note is heavily circulated and the paper is fragile and brittle. Poor condition with extensive repairs and reinforcements on the back, pieces missing, extensive tears and damaged condition. An interesting reference piece from ABN’s security research department. Est. $120-240
