A Debt Certificate issued by the Merchants Association of Taihe Town from an unknown county. No date but presumably 1948- 1949. The text on the face is “Now we temporarily owe Mr. (blank) 1 jiao of Gold Yuan”. Seals on the left side are of the chair of the Merchants Association and the chair of the Labor Union. Text on the back describes regulations. Serial number is 56862. VG condition with faults, tears and splits. A coupon (or private banknote) issued by Yongquan Restaurant in Yangxin County, Shandong Province in 1934. The left side shows the image of a 5 jiao coin and a serial number of 000744, and the right side shows the restaurant name, address, date and denomination. The back side shows “no payment in the evening”, along with the printer’s name on the bottom, “Shan Tung” and “Liushensikan” meaning “check carefully” . 山東陽信縣湧泉酒店於1934年發行之伍角代價券（或私票）。左側 為伍角銀幣圖，上方有流水號000744.右側有店名、面值、地址及年號。背面 有面值、印廠名，及“山東”與“留神細看”之中文拼音。 ���������������������� Est. $70-130 156 156 ZhaoyuanCountyZengxinghe Bank, 1926, 2 strings banknote. 民 國十五年（1926）招遠增興和錢莊票貳吊 Shandong Province, China. A local banknote issued by a private bank Zengxinghe in Zhaoyuan County, Shandong Province in 1926. Delicately printed. The main images on the front side are oriental pavilions. The denomination is shown in the center, and the serial number is block “He” number 0150. The text on the left side shows the date, and the texts on the bottom are “no payment in the evening” and the name of the printer. The hand-written text on top is “every 50 strings could be exchanged to 5 yuan”.
