Seville, Spain. Spectacular engraved view of the city of Seville, the Virgin Mary with Christ Child, top center, St. Fernando III below, a sailing ship aided by Neptune, right. King Fernando VI at the center. Ornate white paper seal, lower left. The margins are complete, though uneven. The printed images are sharp. Organized in 1755 to broaden the export possibilities of Barcelona’s products, and to import colonial articles, the company enjoyed a trade monopoly with Puerto Rico and other Caribbean Islands.
