The International Railroad Company was chartered in 1870 to construct a line from Hearne to the Red River, connecting with the Houston & Texas Central Railroad and ultimately forming part of the International & Great Northern Railroad system. Sanford Barnes served as an early executive and guiding figure in the road’s formative years before its consolidation in 1873. A historic Texas railroad stock from the early post-Civil War expansion era. The condition ranges from Choice Fine to VF condition or better.
