Includes issues referencing John Diefenbaker, Lester B. Pearson, and the New Democratic Party, among others. Designs feature humorous denominations such as the “92½¢” and “One Diefendollar,” and slogans like “A 100% Stable Canadian Dollar,” “Bank of Kuch,” and “Help Us Straighten Up Canada.” Printed in a variety of styles and colors, including offset and lithographic methods on differing paper stocks. Washington Bank, Merchants Exchange Bank, Lincoln Trust Company, Equitable Assurance Society, and numerous others. Many are imprinted with revenue stamps, embossed seals, bank cancellation handstamps, and manuscript endorsements. Designs feature engraved vignettes including livestock, allegorical figures, buildings, portraits, and classic National Bank layouts. Designs feature detailed engraved vignettes including allegorical female figures and western landscapes, ornate National Bank typography, and period banking seals. The two postal cards show clear Denver postal markings and manuscript addresses, adding regional postal history interest.
