Lot of 13 First Day Covers issued for the Bermuda Decimal Overprint First Day of Issue, February 6th, 1970, each containing a Bermuda decimal coin mounted within an illustrated commemorative cover with matching Bermuda postage stamps and Hamilton cancellation marks. Denominations represented include 1 cent, 5 cents, 10 cents, 25 cents, and 50 cents, with multiple examples across the series showing the colorful geometric design types used for the decimal currency introduction. Also included is an additional “Coins of All Nations” Bermuda coin First Day Cover with commemorative stamp and postal cancellation. Coins are standard circulating issues struck in base metals typical for the series, including bronze and copper-nickel compositions, and contain no silver. First Day Cover commemorating the Royal Visit of Q60ueen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip to Bermuda in February 1975, featuring a Proof Bermuda Twenty-Five Dollar commemorative coin mounted within the official illustrated cover alongside the Royal Visit postage stamp cancelled “Hamilton, Bermuda, Feb 17, 1975 – First Day of Issue.” The reverse includes the printed Certificate of Authenticity from the Bermuda Monetary Authority confirming the coin and stamp issue for the Royal Visit commemorative release.
