Earl Radio Corporation emerged from the reorganization of Chas. Freshman Co. in 1928, with Walter C. Earl as its president and founder. The company grew rapidly during the 1920s radio boom, employing thousands at its peak, but the 1929 market crash forced it into receivership, and its assets were liquidated in 1930. Walter C.
