The largest portion consists of Japanese Government occupation notes with clear English text reading “THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT,” including denominations such as 1, 5, and 10 pesos, 1 shilling, and 5 centavos, many with red serial numbers and tropical or architectural vignettes. Chinese notes show Central Bank of China issues with Sun Yat-sen portraits and denominations including 1 yuan and higher, printed in traditional Chinese characters. Smaller Indonesian notes marked “BANK INDONESIA” and a Vietnamese note with Vietnamese text and portraiture are also present.
