Radolfzell, Baden, Germany, gold-denominated emergency scrip issued 3 November 1923 by Gotthard Allweiler, Pumpenfabrik A.-G., during the final phase of the German hyperinflation. The note is a Schuldschein (promissory certificate) for Goldmark 0.42 (two-and-forty Goldpfennig), redeemable in Badische or Reichsgoldmünzen or their cash equivalent. Printed in red with a detailed vignette of an Allweiler industrial pump and municipal stamp validating the gold coverage deposited with the city. Signed by company officials. A well‑known industrial issuer of gold-backed Notgeld from the Lake Constance region; collectible as both inflation-era scrip and industrial history. ���������������������������������������������������������� Est. $75-120 139 139 Germany – Sonneberg & Herne Municipal Vouchers, 1917–1920s, Water & Food Service Notes Sonneberg, Thuringia, & Herne, Westphalia, municipal service and ration vouchers issued during and shortly after World War I, comprising: (1) Sonneberg Städtisches Wasserwerk, undated ca. 1920s, voucher for 1 cubic meter of water (“Gutschein über 1 cbm Wasser”), blue municipal-style printing with the city crest and director’s signature; and (2) Herne Städtische Lebensmittel- Verkäufe, 5 Mark food-purchase voucher dated 4 August 1917, printed on wartime paper with magistrate signatures, used during WWI food‑rationing. Both pieces represent early German municipal emergency paper, collected alongside Notgeld issues.
