Lot of 2 items, Includes ABN Advertising note, uniface, black on light green underprint printed on white paper, George Washington portrait in middle under title with information of the companies products, evidently used as a paper sample with the heading on the bottom selvedge “Sample of Crane & Co.’s Glazed Bond , “Thickness No 25.”, AU-Unc condition; and, a black printing on light purple paper label for Safety tint paper, as a counterfeit protector paper, ABN logo of Screaming Eagle in middle with ornate border, Uncirculated. New York, Lot of 4 advertising notes, includes s 50 Cents, small format example printed litho in reverse in olive as a Large Die Proof, dated 1921 with Liberty with Star on headband facing right; 3 different versions of the 10 Denomination, 1929 versions with Liberty and cap facing left in different colors or paper, including a uniface proof on white paper that is printed in black; a version printed with the obverse green and reverse black on white watermarked paper with Malaysia tiger watermark and thick silver security thread; and, a 3rd version with a black obverse and green reverse, but printed on thin TYVEK polymer paper, very rare in this format. ABNC, Color Sample Booklet, “No.21”, 20 Pages New York, ND (ca.1900-1920), leather bound booklet with “No.21” in gold letters on the top left corner, 18 pages with the same design but different colors, the design of each page includes the ABNC Logo of a Screaming Eagle in the middle flanked and under the title “American Bank Note Company”, with “Color No. -P1” (Black for the first page, but varies for each page going from P1 to P20), with the entire design including an ornate cycloid engraving, backs are blank, the first blank page (inner cover page) is loose, everything else is intact and in AU to Uncirculated condition. each page has written on the back a color and denomination. Further research was not able to attribute the color and denomination to any U.S. stamp from the 1880s until the 1920s, so it may possibly refer to a foreign stamp design and color choice.
