PMG graded Choice Uncirculated 64 with comment “selvage included.” This utopian experiment in collective living was formed in 1887 and attracted several hundred adherents to land that the co-operative owned in the Port Angeles area. Members were progressive advocates of labor rights and were, oddly, anti-Chinese due to the Chinese participation in the local labor market. The Panic of 1893 killed both the lumber market and this colony which was finally officially dissolved in 1904.
