DuraNote Pioneer Polymer Banknote Uncut Advertising Notes, ca. 1989-1994, Sheet of 24 Notes. U.S. & Canada. Uncut sheet of 24 notes printed on slightly blue-gray polymer, 4 across by 6 vertical, all are 100 Denomination notes with Oil Platform printed in red on the face with a silver Pegasus security device to the right of the platform printed on light green and yellow underprint with a large excess area on the right either blank or with various clear window designs, the back has the same colors but an early engraving of a horse pulled oil wagon, the top 2 rows have additional security designs in the excess area on the right including Maple Leaves, Criss-Cross design, triangles and variations of them. There are also watermarks on the bottom left medallions of the top 2 rows. All the notes are overprinted with “DN000000” serial numbers and there are large margins including color bars on the top. Rare in sheet form. These notes were part of a project fromMobil Oil for testing petroleum based hydrocarbon polymer paper for printing banknotes. All are in Choice to Gem Uncirculated condition.
