The Postal Savings Bank was intended to provide a safe, reliable place for individuals to deposit savings and to encourage economic development in Hawaii. To finance this, the Hawaiian government issued bonds, known as the Postal Savings Bank Loan bonds, which were gold-backed. Est. $4,500-7,500
