Buruaga, ( Jorge’s father) who was ABN’s agent in Mexico and South America securing business for the company. The exchange was Payable at the London Bank of Mexico & South America, Ltd., London Branch. Signed by Freeland as Treasurer, Also incudes a 2 page letter on Jorge Asta-Buruaga’s stationary and addressed to Theo. H. Freeland. Evidently, ABN’s South American representative had dies and his son, Jorge, was settling his father’s estate. The senior Baragua was instrumental in securing the Chilean Bank, “Banco De La Sarena”, banknote order for ABNC and was owed a commission of 2400 Pounds Sterling. This exchange represented the last amount due on the payment. Rare inside view of a security printer’s agent financial matters.
