Around each portrait are 14 smaller medallion portraits of military personalities of the day. 13-3/4x8. 1898. Three mounting posts on back, two removed, center one remains.With layer of gray and then white paint. Could very well have been the office door nameplate. Lincoln, 6 cent red. #10 size envelope marked SPECIMEN at center front. This was designed by Rudolf Laubenheimer.
