Almost Uncirculated. Struck in Paris before the end of theCivilWar fromdies byArmandCaque, and per- haps funded by Confederate subscriptions. A handsome example with glossy white surfaces beneath light toning throughout. NGC graded MS 63. There is a bruise on the surface of the obverse rim, mentioned only for the sake of accuracy, as the overall appearance is quite compelling.
