G184, SENC, Design 20A, 2 previous listed in the census, Proof ban-
knote, black on india paper, Standing allegorical woman in middle
flanked by steamboat on right and cotton bales on left with allegor-
ical woman on left and Native Americans on right, attractive AU
condition with light toning on the upper right and a diagonal crease
on the upper right corner area as well as a very small nick out of the
left middle margin, Rawdon, Wright & Co. New York imprint. (Silver

Mississippi. Lot of 3 notes (uncut sheet of 3), 186x (ca.1960-70’s),
$20-$50-$100,Haxby Unlisted; Modern “Proprietary Proofs”. The
$20 note has a young woman with bird on lower left, mules pulling
wagon of cotton bales and portrait of man on lower right; the $50
note has portrait of man on left, slave sitting on mule pulling wagon
in middle and slave picking cotton on lower right; the $100 note has
allegorical woman and child on left, slave holding basket of cotton
on top middle and portrait of man on right. Notches on 3 margins
for printing registration, top cut close where $10 note was cut off
previously. Black printing with dark red underprint counterfeit pro-
tectors printed on thin white card, Uncirculated condition. ABNC.
