2621 Georgia Colonial 1776 “Sterling Denomination” Series
Banknote.
Georgia, 1776, 1 Shilling 6 Pence, P-S760, Issued, No
S/N, This piece has the heaviest bold printing one could ever hope
for on a colonial note, giving it a spectacular appearance. It is a
sharp AU note with a small area at lower right where the acid from
the original ink ate through the paper. Nonetheless the unusual eye
appeal of this note makes it worth over the $1500 price listed in
Newman for an XF note. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

2622 Georgia Colonial 1776 “Sterling Denomination” Series
Banknote.
Georgia, 1776, 2 Shillings 6 Pence, P-S762, Issued, S/N
6923, A very charming piece because of the stylistic and almost folk
art looking, prancing horse for its vignette. This is the scarcer of two
similar issues, whereby the denomination Two Shilling & Six Pence
is printed in both the left and the right margins. Unfortunately a
small area at the very upper right corner has been replaced. Still an
attractive note that is sure to attract a strong bid. . . . .

2623 Georgia Colonial 1776 “Sterling Denomination” Series
Banknote.
Georgia, 1776, 1 Pound, P-S766, Issued, S/N 695. The
largest denomination issued of this Sterling series. A dramatically
full and complete note for this often cut down and trimmed
issue. Somewhat toned and with its share of minor repairs
to the several edge splits. Worth the price of a VF note in Newman:

Georgia, 1776, $4 Spanish Milled Dollars, P-S771, Issued, S/N 10946,
AU with spectacular sharp and brilliant blue seal. Good crispness to
the paper. Unbeatable eye appeal. The Latin motto in the seal
translates: Freedom is more precious than gold. This note in virtual-

ner. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

2625 Georgia Colonial “1776” Issue Maroon Seal Series Banknote.
Georgia, 1776, $4 Spanish Milled Dollars, P-S775, Issued, S/N 1232,
The maroon notes are the scarcest color in the 1776 Colored Seal
Series. This note is a nice XF that has had a small split in the center
professionally repaired. Well worth the price of a problem free note
the next grade down if indeed one could find a problem free note of
any denomination in the RARE Maroon Series. Catalogs in Newman
