Lot includes the two 1941 medals. The first is the Silver Merit of Medal, obverse features profile of King Zvonimir and his coronation date of 1076, while the coat of arms of Croatia appears on the back. Awarded to German Armed Forces personnel. The second is the Croatian Bravery Medal, bronze and intended to next-of-kin of fallen NCOs and enlisted men. Circular bronze medal and suspension device with ribbon, featuring full-length, full-face figure of a Volunteer of the Flying Column in typical 1917-1921 outfit. Inscribed “CODAGH NA SAOIRSE” (The Struggle for Independence) in Gaelic script. Instituted 1941 and issued with “COMRAC” (Struggle) bar to those who had seen active military service.
