1773 Bank of Taiwan, February, 1955 Photographic Proofs of Pro-
posed Banknote Series by Security BNC.
Taiwan, Lot of 6 Photo
Proofs and 3 Additional proofs of Seals, Title and Denominations
that are not photos, but authentic production proofs, by SBNC
for proposed 1955 issue for 1; 5 and 10Yuan notes, photographs
were taken of a mockup of the fronts and backs and cut down
to banknote size as proposed notes for evaluation. P-Unlisted.
The notes have SYS on top face, back has bank building above
denominations, All have production information on the top
margins including production date of 2-16-(19)55 on the faces
and 2-3-(19)55 on the top of the back photo proofs, also includes
proof of red seals, a proof of the title of the bank and also a proof
of the denominations in Chinese, needs additional research. Rare
Bank of Taiwan, Security Banknote Company production mate-
rial of proposed but never issued banknote series, XF condition.

posed note for evaluation. P-Unlisted. The notes have SYS on
top face, back has bank building with denominations over map
of Taiwan. All have production information on the top margins
including production date of 1-25-(19)55, the 10 Yuan note has
lightly drawn borders around the portrait of SYS in pink, needs
additional research. Rare Bank of Taiwan production material of

production date of 6-24-(19)55, needs additional research. Rare

na, 10Yuan, P-J12s5, S/M#C297-30a, Specimen banknote, SYS at
center, Mi-hon overprint and regular serial number X/V 624596E,
PMG graded Choice Uncirculated 63 Net with note of minor edge
damage and very light rust from an old paper clip where previ-
ously kept in file, appears in Choice Unc. condition. Rare as spec-

China, 500 Yuan, P-J24As, S/M#C297, Specimen banknote,
SYS at center, red Yang Pen on face and English “Specimen”
overprint on back and S/N AG 000000 C/D, PMG graded Choice
Uncirculated 64 EPQ but appears in Gem Unc. condition with
even jumbo margins, bright colors and sharp corners. Rare as
specimen. Tied as the finest known out of 7 graded in the PMG
