On behalf of the entire Archives International Auctions team, I would like to personally
welcome you to the 31st auction we have held over the last nine years. We are privileged
to offer another large and varied selection of U.S. & Worldwide Banknotes, Scripophily
and Security Printing Ephemera including hundreds of rare and exciting items that seldom
come up for auction. There will be items of interest for every level
of collector, specialist or dealer.
Included in the auction are over 1350 lots of U.S. & Worldwide Banknotes, Scripophily
and Security Printing Ephemera that will be offered in two sessions. There will be over
370 lots of scripophily, the collecting of stocks and bonds, between both sessions. We
are proud to offer additional selections from the John E. Herzog Collection of scripophily
rarities including a Daniel Drew autographed Buffalo & State Line Rail Road Co. stock
certificate as well as many other interesting, historic and rare bonds and shares with topics
including railroads, mining, automobiles and numerous other topics.
We will also be offering additional items from the Arthur C. Matz collection of modern
world banknotes as well as items from the Hamtramck Collection. One of the many
banknote highlights includes a new estate find of early Mexico Banco issues as well as
rare scrip notes, ca.1870-1890’s, that have never been offered previously at auction and
are sure to attract considerable attention.
We are finishing up our 7th Chinese, Asian and Russian Banknote, Scripophily and Coin
auction to be offered April 12th and 13th including the third portion of the
“Alexander I. Pogrebetsky Family Archives”. We will also be offering U.S. & Worldwide
Banknotes, Scripophily, Coins and Security Printing Ephemera on April 11th. If you have
suitable material, we are still seeking consignments for our upcoming 2016 auctions
including our April dates. I would like to thank everyone who has participated in our
previous auctions and has helped make this auction series a resounding success.
We are looking forward to another exciting auction
and hope you enjoy our current offerings.
WELCOME TO THE SALE
Best of luck,
Bob Schwartz
