Vehicle Transportation Company. NJ. 100 Shares. 1899. S/N 494.

Green. Two electric taxis circle a fountain. “COPYRIGHT 1899 BY

ELECTRIC VEHICLE CO.” just below the vignette. ABN. $5 red doc-

umentary stamp affixed. Light stains, lower left border, otherwise

XF. Very rare. The ElectricVehicle Company was a holding company

of battery-powered electric automobile manufacturers made up of

several car companies hoping to gain a monopoly by placing elec-

tric cabs in major American cities. NewYork Electric may have been

one of these companies. Spectacular vignette! ������������������Est.
