Canada, group of 7
archival production department folders for the French (P<39) and
English (P<38) text printings of the 1 Dollar, 1935 issue. Three of the
folders contain photocopies in lieu of the full note die proofs, but the
folders still contain interesting printer notations. The remaining four
folders contain 6 original intaglio proofs of various elements from
the notes, such as the corner denomination with the stylized shape
around the “1” and “ONE”, as well as the stylized “1” in the center of
the obverse. An interesting and unique archival lot.
