Front and Back “Specimens”, Face Blue with portrait of SYS in mid-
dle, back blue with bank building, red “00000” serial numbers,
POC’s. The Face is PMG graded Choice Uncirculated 64 and the
Back is PMG graded “66 Gem Uncirculated - EPQ (Exceptional
Paper Quality)”, Superb condition banknote pair. SBNC.

A. P-Unlisted. This note has the vertical Chinese characters on face
below portrait with each letter surrounded by white area. Uniface
front and back specimen banknotes in brown-orange. SYS in center
top on face and bank building on back. Red Chinese specimen over-
print, “00000” serial numbers and POC on face and “Specimen”
overprint on back. Top of note has “8-19-48” and “L-302-F” for the
face and “L-302-B” for the back”. Vertical note. The face is PMG
graded Choice Uncirculated 64 and the back is graded Superb Gem
Uncirculated 67, EPQ (Exceptional Paper Quality)” SBNC. Rare

specimens. Uniface front specimen has “000000” serial numbers,
Series 1A, 2 large Chinese characters and 2 signatures. The Back
banknote has “Specimen” overprints. Punched out cancels. Rare
note. No similar examples are listed in Pick. Both are dated in the
upper right corner “3-30-49”. Back of each note has printed
“Approved for Production” with a line to sign, but both are blank.
Each uniface specimen is Choice to Gem Uncirculated. Attractive

Appears Choice Uncirculated with lower left corner with slight bend
that keeps this rare note Choice to Gem AU. SBNC. . .
