Foreword
Welcome to the Sale
On behalf of the entire Archives International Auctions team, I would like to personally welcome you to our
eleventh exciting auction we have been privileged to hold within the last five years. I would also like to thank everyone who
has participated in our previous auctions and has helped make this auction series a resounding success. We are already in pro-
duction for THE ANNUAL WALL STREET BOURSE AUCTION OF U.S & WORLDWIDE SCRIPOPHILY, AUTO-
GRAPHS and beginning this year to include U.S. & WORLDWIDE BANKNOTES, scheduled to be held in mid-October
2012 at the Museum of American Finance located at 48 Wall Street.
We are very excited about a number of changes we are going through right now. We have moved to more spacious offices
where we will also hold our current and future Live Auctions. The offices are conveniently located near New York City, di-
rectly across the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Additionally, we are changing our online live bidding
provider to upgrade our online bidding experience for our internet bidders as well as in- crease the ease of use of Live Inter-
net and Internet Absentee Bidding. This will be complete for our auction in May. Our website will have a new look and hope-
fully be a little easier to navigate as well as be more informative then the past. We will also be working on our online internet
store that can be accessed from our website.
Our present auction includes over 1000 lots of historic U.S. and Worldwide Banknotes, Stocks, Bonds, Security Printer
Ephemera and Miscellaneous properties consigned by various owners. We are also proud to be offering the first of a number
of installments from the AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMMEMORATIVES Inventory of Security Printing Ephemera, Pro-
duction Material and Numismatic & Philatelic Commemorative and Souvenir cards. This auction will include over 50 lots of
U.S. Obsolete Proprietary Proofs and Proof Sheets from ABN Commemoratives inventory as well as additional obsolete ban-
knotes from two different collections with a number of desirable notes included. We will be featuring an interesting selection
of worldwide material including a number of rare Chinese banknotes including two different Russo-Asiatic rarities. We are
excited to be offering a discovery 1874 Peru Banknote that is being offered for the first time to the collecting public. Addi-
tionally, there are hundreds of notes from every area and region imaginable with items at price ranges to cover any taste and
budget. We have an impressive assortment of Security Printing Ephemera including many specimen and proof production
items never offered before at auction. The Second Session includes over 400 lots of U.S and Worldwide Stocks and Bonds
including railroads, mining, finance and many other topics that will interest the beginning to advanced collector.
I look forward to presenting many more auctions in the future in our on-going treasure hunt for those elusive items.
Best of Luck,
Bob Schwartz
